Some of my earliest childhood memories circulate around my interest in reading, writing, and watching TV with my mother. In grade three a friend of mine and I had a writing contest to see who could complete the pages of their notebook first with the best story ever. That was my earliest foray into writing and storytelling, and it has stuck with me since.

A city girl at heart, growing up in the culturally rich neighbourhood of East Vancouver has firmly instilled appreciation and interest in different people and places. With this interest, I went on to complete a degree in Geography from the University of British Columbia. As I entered the working world, I realized all I did was daydream about doing something else; something fun, creative, and fulfilling. I was craving a career where I can create stories and characters, and I finally realized it was time to pursue one of my life long goals, and went to film school.

I graduated from Langara College’s Digital Film Production Program in April of 2012, and have since written and produced an 8-minute comedic short that won second place at the Vancouver Asian Film Festival’s Mighty Movie Making Marathon last August. I also worked on various locally produced television series, created videos for my friend’s weddings, and am in the process of writing a feature script.

I’m currently in an exciting time of my life as I’m lucky enough to pursue what I’ve always loved as a career. I hope to capture what I enjoy the most about the world of film/tv/writing: the story. Behind the lens, through different eyes, there is a story. A story that is uniquely yours. No matter what kind of journey you’re on, I encourage you to capture those special and rare moments along the way.

Don’t be shy and say hello. Your story is waiting to be told.
