I’m back from the wild aka Sasquatch. It was an amazing 4 days against a wonderful backdrop that for those of us who live in the Pacific Northwest are so lucky to call our backyard. The Gorge really really is breathtaking. I’ve posted a few photos, but for the most part this time around, I decided to take less photos and absorb more of the scenery.
Musical Highlights from the weekend includes:
The Postal Service, The xx, Vampire Weekend, Mumford and Sons, Telekinesis, Dropkick Murphys, Imagine Dragons, Danny Brown, Bloc Party, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
My questions from the weekend: Why the heck did Azaelia Banks cancel, why do people love to wear animal suits, and how did I manage to get my knees/thighs sunbunt when I wore jeans on the sunniest days as a preventative measure?
See you next year maybe, Sasquatch. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.
It’s almost time. It’s almost time for head down to the Gorge in Washington for 4 days of musical happiness for this year’s Sasquatch Festival. Now, I’m a bit nervous about this. Being a Coachella girl at heart, at this ripe old age of “over 30″, I am heading to Sasquatch for the first time ever. Camping with strangers, portable toilets, unpredictable weather, and no internet has the city girl in me sweating just a bit. In no particular order here is my Sasquatch band list:
The Postal Service, The XX, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, alt-j, Empire of the Sun, Youth Lagoon, Porcelain Raft, Azealia Banks, Grimes, Imagine Dragons, Mumford & Sons, Twin Shadow, Tallest Man on Earth, Telekinesis, Earl Sweatshirt, POS, Shout Out Louds, ZZ Ward, Sigur Ros, Baauer, the Lumineers… and so many more.
I promise to come back with many photos to share, and any entertaining stories of a city girl in the wild. Well, it’s not the “wild” but ya just never know…. Have a great almost weekend everyone!
